Ryan P. Allis, Executive Director.

Ryan Allis is the Founder and Executive Director of The Humanity Campaign, Inc. Ryan is an entrepreneur and a social entrepreneur based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

In addition to his work with The Humanity Campaign, Ryan is the CEO of Durham, NC based iContact, and the author of the book Zero to One Million: How to Build a Company to $1M in Sales. He was named as the Ernst & Young Carolinas’ Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008 one of BusinessWeek’s Top 25 Entrepreneurs Under 25 in 2005.

Ryan is currently the Board Chairman for Nourish International. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors Leadership Triangle, EO Raleigh-Durham, and the Council for Entrepreneurial Development. Ryan is a 2009 honorary StartingBloc Fellow and has given keynote addresses on social entrepreneurship at the MIT IDEAS Competition and StartingBloc Yale Institute for Social Innovation.

Ryan founded The Humanity Campaign in 2005 to work to reduce poverty and hunger at home and in developing nations while building stronger communities and increasing access to education, healthcare, clean water, and nutrition. Ryan attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was an economics major and Blanchard Scholar. Ryan is currently enrolled in the EO/MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program (EMP).
