What We Believe

Welcome to the home for The Humanity Campaign, Inc.. We’re just beginning, but intend for this effort to continue on for decades to come.

The Humanity Campaign derives its name from a desire to work to spread the message that all humans have equal value. Our core humanity is much more important to our identity than our nationality, religion, or skin color.

The Humanity Campaign is a non-profit organization that works to build awareness of extreme human suffering and reduce poverty and hunger by increasing access to education, healthcare, technology, and entrepreneurial opportunity.

We believe in a loving, caring humanity in which that which binds us together is much more powerful than that which separates us.

Our Core Principles:

  1. All humans are created equal
  2. All humans have equal value, regardless of nationality
  3. Humanity should strive to create a society in which there is equal access to opportunity for all humans
  4. We should seek to do unto others as we wish done unto ourselves
  5. In an age of increasing communication, trust, and renewable resources, there is no need to live in a world in which humans kill other humans on a mass scale through warfare and genocide

Our Beliefs:

  1. Poverty and environmental sustainability are inextricably linked. One cannot be solved without the other being solved.
  2. Growing the GDP and human prosperity are not always fully correlated.
  3. We will never live in a fully peaceful and stable world until the 2.6 billion humans living on under $2 per day have access to the basic human needs of nutritious food, clean water, preventative medicine, shelter, and primary education
  4. Not enough people realize that over 49,000 people, humans just like you and I, die every day needlessly from prevantable diseases and starvation. We’d intend to work to increase this awareness.
  5. There can be great power in markets, entrepreneurship, and social entrepreneurship to address the critical challenges of our time.
  6. Transparency and access to information is a critical piece of equality of opportunity.
  7. True developmental solutions must come from and be managed by members of local communities, not from the West.
  8. We believe in entrepreneurial incrementalism rather than big bang solutions. Let’s try it, see what works, and improve from there.
